Introduction to Pyrometry

eQuaLearn has updated the Introduction to Pyrometry course to include an overview of the key changes between Revision D and Revision E. All eQuaLearn instructors are fully briefed on the new revision and will be able to answer any questions you may have.

This course offers a full examination and comprehensive discussion on SAE’s AMS2750E specification. The requirements covered during the course are necessary to ensure that parts or raw materials are heat treated in accordance with the applicable specification(s).

  • Achieve a thorough understanding of pyrometric controls applicable to heat treating
  • Discuss the application of pyrometric controls within the typical heat treat facility
  • Receive clarification on the intent and interpretation of SAE AMS2750E including temperature sensors, instrumentation, furnace classification, SATs and TUS's
  • Compare key changes between AMS2750 Rev D and AMS2750 Rev E

NOTE: It is recommended that participants bring a copy of the AMS2750 Rev E to class for reference.
