Bryan Benn

Bryan is a Chartered Engineer with over 40 years experience in Engineering and Manufacturing, primarily in aerospace, since 1966. From 2003 Bryan has worked as a consultant auditor, training course developer and instructor for PRI. Bryan previously worked for Rolls-Royce plc, responsible for metal joining technology development for the Aerospace business. As a result, Bryan has extensive knowledge of welding processes used for the fabrication of aerospace parts. He is a Fellow of The Welding Institute and was a member of TWI’s Research Board for eight years.

Martin Bridge

Martin has been a Nadcap Heat Treatment and Aerospace Quality Systems auditor since 2003 and a consultant trainer with PRI since the first courses in Europe in 2005. As well as auditing around the world, he has presented eQuaLearn courses in China, Japan, India, Singapore and throughout Europe. Martin gained his PhD in Metallurgy from Sheffield University in 1982 and became a Chartered Engineer in 1983. Since then he has worked as a metallurgist in both the USA and the UK and has had roles as Quality Manager, Quality Director and Operations Director in the automotive and aerospace industries. He became an ISO9000 Lead Assessor in 1991 and subsequent work with AS/EN9100, QS9000, TS16949 and customer specific requirements. Martin’s knowledge and expertise has been recognised a number of times, including by the American Society for Metals Marcus A Grossman Award in 1985 and by a Nadcap Mayben-Platonoff award in 2008.

Arnoldo has worked in the aerospace industry since the early 1990's. In his role as QA Manager at Honeywell Aerospace (Mexico) and Eaton Industries, Arnoldo was responsible for NUCAP / Nadcap accreditation in a number of special processes. He has also been responsible for implementing ISO 9001 and AS9100. He has a thorough understanding of other standards as well including various MIL, AMS and AWS specifications. He is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt with a postgraduate qualification in Total Quality Control and holds an electrical engineering degree from the Universidad Autonoma de Baja California in Mexico. He has facilitated many training courses on topics as diverse as Resistance Welding, Heat Treatment, NDT Eddy Current, Root Cause Corrective Action and Quality Auditor. Arnoldo holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical - Electrical Engineering with a major in electronics.

Jim has been involved in the aerospace industry since 1962, and was a Nadcap auditor from 2002 until 2010. During his career he has worked for the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, U. S. Navy and Defense Contract Management Agency. He has conducted both internal and external quality management system audits since 1981 and has thorough knowledge of Mil-Std 45208, Mil-Std 9858A, ISO 9001, AS 9100, AC 7004, AC 7110 series checklists. Jim has been a trainer since 1981, conducting sessions on metallurgy, welding , heat treating, nondestructive testing and quality management.

Gerardo spent 10 years as a metallurgist in the steel industry in maintenance and subsequently in primary melting and mill rolling. He has worked in the steel industry since 1977 and in aerospace since 1988. With more than 20 years experience working in the metallurgical laboratory for Special Processes in a major Italian aerospace company, Gerardo has gained an in-depth understanding of Heat Treating, pyrometry (AMS2750D), furnace vacuum brazing and internal auditing. Gerardo also audited suppliers for Special Processes including Heat Treating, pyrometry, vacuum brazing, hipping, forging, investment casting and sand casting. During his career, Gerardo has completed training in problem solving, AS9100, 6 Sigma and lean manufacturing. Gerardo qualified as a Nadcap auditor for Heat Treating in 2008 and has been an eQuaLearn instructor since 2009 providing Heat Treating training in Italian.

John is the co-author of many eQuaLearn courses including Introduction to Pyrometry. He has been involved with PRI as a Nadcap auditor and trainer since 2004. He is also a Nadcap audit reviewer. Prior to that, he spent forty years at Raytheon Aircraft in various positions related to metallurgy and served on the Nadcap Heat Treatment Task Group as a Raytheon Aircraft representative for 12 years.

Paul has a wide range of experience in engineering and management in both the private and public sectors. This experience was validated in 1992 when he established a manufacturing and process company serving a largely aerospace customer base. Virtually all of the business systems were originated by him and he wrote, implemented and maintained the Quality Management System. He now offers consultancy in Quality Management and Special Processes. His articles on these subjects are regularly published in technical journals. Paul is also a Nadcap lead auditor and PRI trainer and member of the SAE Aerospace Materials Engineering Committee (Surface Enhancement).

An Engineer in physical technology and now an eQuaLearn instructor, Reinhold has worked as a freelance consultant auditor and instructor since 2008. Prior to this he spent eleven years as a company Managing Director. Having held a management role in the quality field, Reinhold has worked as a Nadcap Project Manager and has extensive experience in Special Processes including Heat Treating, NDT and Welding. Reinhold’s other industry experience includes working as a Heat Treating supervisor and as a Materials Testing Laboratory manager. He is also a qualified AS/EN 9100 auditor and has successfully passed the IAQG audit-training for the AS/ENJISQ 9100 Rev. C standard.

Guy Levasseur

Guy has been involved in the aerospace industry since 1994 and was a Nadcap auditor from 2005 – 2006. He became a PRI instructor in 2006. He served as a member of the board of the Quebec Aerospace Association from 1998 - 2005 and was President from 2000 – 2001. He is the co-author of a book on shot peening. He has experience of AS9100 and ISO 9001 as well as Nadcap surface enhancement requirements and all major OEM and industry-driven specifications in shot peening and aircraft component fabrication.

Jay has been involved in the aerospace industry since his graduate work on Titanium alloys in 1970, 8 years for Titanium Mill as a plant metallurgist, and 30 years for Northrop Grumman Corporation as Materials & Process Engineering and Supply Quality Engineering. Jay taught Metallurgy classes in Los Angeles area in early 1980 are which was offered by American Society for Metals Education Committee. Jay was active in AS9100 standard development and deployment by serving as a voting member of Registration Management Committee of both AAQG and IAQG since the onset of AAQG. Jay has also been active in Nadcap since 1998 as a member of Nadcap Management Council, NUCAP Management Council, and AQS Task Group. Jay’s contribution to the aerospace industry was recognized by Northrop Grumman Leadership Award in 2002 and Nadcap Mayben Platanoff Award in 2006. Jay became an eQuaLearn instructor in 2010 and has been teaching heat treatment & metallurgy related classes as well as Quality courses. Jay has BS and MS in Metallurgy and Materials Science.

Tadeusz Maguda

Tadeusz graduated from Cracow University of Technology, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, where he earned a Ph.D. in Materials Science. His professional career started in 1979 with sixteen years of teaching and research work at Cracow University of Technology and subsequently the University of Pittsburgh (Materials Science and Engineering, Basic Metals Processing Research Institute). He has also taught at the Foundry Research Institute in Cracow. Following this, Tadeusz pursued a career in industry joining The Stanley Works in 1995 as Quality Manager in the Hand Tools Division and then becoming Production Manager at Fastening Systems. In 1999 Tadeusz moved to General Electric Company where he spent 10 years serving in different engineering positions. He currently works with ZM WSK that has been created from WSK Rzeszów, a UTC owned company.

Sergio Manzo

Sergio has worked in the aerospace industry since 1967 and has been involved with the manufacturing, maintenance and design of engine and airframe components. He has worked as an NDT and Special Processing specialist, a Chief of Inspection and Quality Assurance Manager for Alitalia Airlines Maintenance Division and as a Technical Director of Alitalia Domestic Airlines. For 25 years Sergio has been a Level 3 (ASNT and the Italian NDTB) and is a member of the American Society for Nondestructive Testing and the Italian Association for Nondestructive Testing. He is also a member of the Italian Aerospace Experts Association. Sergio is currently president of Azeta Infotec and is a Nadcap Non-Destructive Testing Lead Auditor.

Bernard Marloye

Bernard has been involved in NDT activities since 1983 and is a NDT Level 3 expert, auditing aerospace companies throughout Europe and Asia. From 1993-1999 he was the Training Manager at a professional training centre for adults in NDI and safety radiations, and was also the Quality Director from 1993–2009. In 1999, he became the Certification Manager of an accredited NDT examination centre involved in the French certification program. Bernard is an executive member of COFREND-COSAC - the Aerospace Sectoral Certification Committee of the French Non-Destructive Tests Confederation. He has been working as an NDT auditor at ASD PRO since 2003 and with PRI since 2005.

Cornelius Murren

Con has been actively employed since 1964 in both operations and management. He has had broad-based training within the mechanical engineering industry and entered the field of Non-Destructive Testing in 1969 initially specialising in Ultrasonic Testing on Fossil Fuel and Nuclear Power Generation plant. Con quickly moved on to the other NDT methods: Radiography, Magnetic and Penetrant Testing. Con entered the aerospace NDT industry in 1985, adding Chemical Processing in 1994. Most of his activities are now spent as a lead Nadcap auditor for NDT and Chemical Processing, a consultant and instructor for PRI and other clients. During his career Con has gained a Bachelors Degree (BA) in Business Administration and Information Technology and a post Graduate Diploma (Pgdip) in Quality Systems Management. He is a member of several professional bodies and is a Chartered Quality Professional (CQP) and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Quality as well as being an ASNT Fellow.

Manfred Podlech

With more than 30 years experience in the German aerospace industry, Manfred now works as an independent consultant and an instructor for PRI. Manfred has a diploma in precision mechanics and electronics engineering and as a specialist in NDT, Manfred is a qualified Level III for ultrasonic, radiographic, magnetic particle, eddy current and penetrant inspection. He also has more than 18 years experience as an auditor for NDT and quality systems. During his time working for a major German aerospace prime, Manfred was closely involved with the Nadcap process for ten years. He was a member of the Nadcap and NUCAP Management Councils and the NDT Task Group. Manfred received Nadcap Leadership and Recognition awards for his contributions to the process.

Douglas Shuler

Douglas has been involved in the heat treating industry since 1984 and has experience of every aspect from shipping/receiving, production, maintenance, inspection/testing, quality and management. He has conducted internal audits at various companies and has a thorough knowledge of ISO 9001, AS 9100, CQI-9, AMS 2750D, AMS heat treatment process specifications and the Nadcap AC 7102 series. He also works for other PRI programs including eQuaLified, where he developed training material and exam questions and eQuaLPrep, where he wrote the heat treatment assessment. As a trainer, he has facilitated heat treatment process operator / planner / owner courses all around the world. Douglas was approved as a Nadcap auditor for Heat Treating and Aerospace Quality Systems in 2010.

Francesco worked at a Prime for 17 years (laboratory responsible and special process engineer) and he had Quality Manager training as part of EASA Part 145 accreditation. He has conducted AS9100 internal audits and worked as a consultant auditor, consulting for Nadcap accreditation in Chemical Processing, Heat Treating, NDT and Composites from 2005. Francesco is trained in Six-Sigma as a Black Belt and has a PhD in Chemistry from Naples University. Currently Francesco works as a consultant and as a lead Nadcap auditor for Coatings as well as translating and delivering courses for eQuaLearn in Italian and English.

Greg has previously worked for GKN Aerospace, Goodrich Actuation Systems and the Hyde Group. He also works for the American Bureau of Shipping performing ISO 9000 audits.
